Visualization Toolkit VTK file import plug-in for SpaceClaim
VTK Import for SpaceClaim is a Visualization Toolkit VTK file import add-in for SpaceClaim. This add-in gives SpaceClaim the ability to import geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files.
VTK Import for SpaceClaim reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into SpaceClaim. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular faces. VTK Import for SpaceClaim creates trimmed planar surfaces for each triangle and knits them together to create a solid. The solid is then cleaned up so that adjacent coplanar faces are merged in single trimmed planar faces. If the polygon mesh is closed (i.e. it does not contain boundary edges) then VTK Import for SpaceClaim will create a closed solid feature, otherwise an open surface will be created.
VTK Import for SpaceClaim is very easy to use. It adds new commands to SpaceClaim. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into SpaceClaim and adds a ribbon bar to the SpaceClaim called "SYCODE" containing the newly added commands.

Back to TopThe VTK File Format
The Visualization ToolKit (VTK) is an open source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization used by thousands of researchers and developers around the world. VTK consists of a C++ class library, and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. The Toolkit stores geometric data in a file format known as VTK. Very few CAD applications have the ability to read and write VTK files.

Back to TopSycode Software Licensing Terms
Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.
