Rhinoceros 3DM file import Plug-in for SketchUp
3DM Import for SketchUp is a Rhinoceros 3DM file import plug-in for Google SketchUp®. This plug-in gives SketchUp the ability to import polygon meshes from 3DM files.
3DM Import for SketchUp reads polygon mesh data stored in 3DM files and imports it into SketchUp. A polygon mesh in a 3DM file is comprised of a set of triangular and/or quad faces. 3DM Import for SketchUp reads these faces and knits them into objects in SketchUp.
3DM Import for SketchUp is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into SketchUp and adds a new submenu called "3DM Import for SketchUp" to the SketchUp Plugins menu containing these newly added commands.

The 3DM File Format
The 3DM (3D Model) file format is the native file format of Rhinoceros, the NURBS modeling software from Robert McNeel & Associates. The OpenNURBS Initiative was founded by Robert McNeel & Associates in January 2000, with the sole purpose of providing CAD, CAM, CAE and computer graphics software users reliable methods for transferring 3D geometry between applications via the 3DM file format. TerrainCAD, our terrain generation, editing and modeling software, also uses the 3DM file format as its native file format.Back to Top
Sycode Software Licensing Terms
Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.
