Visualization Toolkit VTK file import plug-in for Rhinoceros
VTK Import for Rhino is a Visualization Toolkit VTK file import plug-in for Rhinoceros. This plug-in gives Rhinoceros the ability to import geometric data from VTK files.
VTK Import for Rhino reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into Rhinoceros. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular faces. VTK Import for Rhino reads these faces and knits them into objects in Rhinoceros.
VTK Import for Rhino is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into Rhinoceros and adds a new submenu called "VTKImport" to the Rhinoceros menu.
If the automatic loading fails, please follow the instructions in the ReadMe file to load the "VTKImport" menu manually.

The VTK File Format
The Visualization ToolKit (VTK) is an open source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization used by thousands of researchers and developers around the world. VTK consists of a C++ class library, and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. The Toolkit stores geometric data in a file format known as VTK. Very few CAD applications have the ability to read and write VTK files.Back to Top
Sycode Software Licensing Terms
Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.
