AutoCAD DWG file export add-in for SpaceClaim
DWG Export for SpaceClaim is an AutoCAD DWG file export add-in for SpaceClaim. This add-in gives SpaceClaim the ability to export 3D solid data from a SpaceClaim part and assembly document to 3D solids in an AutoCAD DWG file.
SpaceClaim already has the ability to export AutoCAD DWG files. However the DWG export feature ignores solids and surfaces and only exports curves, thus making the DWG file practically useless for 3D modeling in AutoCAD or other programs that can read solids from DWG files. DWG Export for SpaceClaim removes this limitation by giving SpaceClaim the ability to export solids to AutoCAD DWG files.
DWG Export for SpaceClaim is very easy to use. It adds new commands to SpaceClaim. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into SpaceClaim and adds a new ribbon bar to SpaceClaim called "SYCODE" containing the newly added commands.

Back to TopThe DWG File Format
DWG is a format used for storing two and three dimensional design data and metadata. It is the native format for the AutoCAD Computer Aided Design package, as well as IntelliCAD (and its variants), and PowerCAD. DWG is supported non-natively by several hundred other software applications.
DWG (denoted by the .dwg filename extension) was the native file format for the Interact CAD package, developed by Mike Riddle in the late 1970s, and subsequently licensed by Autodesk in 1982 as the basis for AutoCAD. From 1982 to 2007, Autodesk created versions of AutoCAD which wrote no less than 18 major variants of the DWG file format, none of which it publicly documented.
The DWG format, has become a de facto standard for CAD drawing interoperability. It has been estimated that there are in excess of two to four billion DWG files in existence.
Back to TopSycode Software Licensing Terms
Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.
